Chapter 1: Miss Diamond's Vacation
Multiversal Hero Association, 9:35 am, April 25th 20XX
it had been far too long since Aureo Diamond, Judge of the M.H.A, had taken a vacation. Her hair had become tangled and she was very much focused on trying to get some decent relaxation time in before she got given a new set of jobs that she needed to perform around the solar system. As for where she would go to though? Well she was busy discussing ideas with her friend Ceres and ideas weren't exactly flowing like hotcakes.
"Well...What about Mobius! I hear that place is pretty lively during the spring" Ceres suggested as she quickly shifted her form into that of a rather small pale blue fox as she seemed to sit next to Aureo, whose head was in her hands the entire time. Seems that her tiredness had really hit her hard as she was in need of some place warm...some place that she could really let the sun hit her skin and horns for once...
"I don't know...I've already had to deal with Commander Brutus in a couple variants of Mobius and I think he wants me dead no matter where we go" The blonde proclaimed as she let out a defeated sigh, her shades crooked a little on her face as Ceres continued to think of ideas on where to go. "Sheesh Cookie you really need to find some way to limit how much battling you do. You can't use your ability too much or else you'll end up passing away!" The bubbling goddess panicked as she seemed to hug her tightly, comically large tears filling her eyes as she nuzzled against Miss Diamond.
"Calm down Ceres, I'm not going to die...I just need to find some way to protect myself without the need of exerting my body" Aureo muttered as she slowly pushed Ceres onto the seat next to her before starting to tap her chin in thought. Everything about the kind of power she used had quite a lot of problems, whilst it was incredibly powerful WHEN used; it gave her quite a lot of problems as well. Megalovania as a Stand only worked on those of impure heart and because of that it meant that if she tried to attack someone of pure heart she would end up losing a lot of energy and most likely would get attacked back almost just as hard. To be frank, she needed people to protect her when she couldn't fight, people that could honestly put up more of a fight than she was able to most of the time.
She needed...people to call her own.
She needed...
A TEAM!
"Hmmm...Hey Ceres, did you find anything out about that one universe that AD said had some pretty nice looking girls in it?" She asked before noticing the peppy goddess in training quickly bringing up a small list of universes before eventually nodding as she quickly handed over what seemed to be a tablet listing names and descriptions of all the universes that the M.H.A had details of. The universe in question seemed to be that of a rather interesting mix of both fantasy and technology, mainly focusing on that of the Arabian magic of Djinns or Genies as well as the powers that they use. The place in this other world that she was looking to vacate to? Scuttle Town of course.
"Ceres, cancel any of the appointments that I may have and say that I'm on vacation to Scuttle Town, I need to get some decent me time in. So if anyone asks...I'm not here!" Aureo grinned before showing that same spark in her eyes that she seemed very much prepared to spend at least a couple weeks in the town so she was back up to full strength in no time!
Ceres showed a bright grin before nodding rapidly, only being stopped by Aureos hand on the top of her head as the goddess in training started to make a bunch of calls as her partner prepared to head off on a rather long universal vacation!

Scuttle Town, Dimension WF-2002, 12:30 pm 20XX
the busy hustle and bustle of bazaar life was very much prominent in Scuttle Town. Merchants and travellers of all kinds were busy making their rounds about the many stalls and shops that lined the town streets. It was a perfect spot for almost anyone to relax and get used to the finer standards of life. In Uncle Mimics workshop however, there was some talk going on about the most recent attack that had been made on Scuttle Town by Risky Boots, the self-proclaimed Queen of the Seven Seas.
"I just don't want you to think that you can face every danger head on. You remember what happened the last time you got careless" Mimic exclaimed to a rather down-trodden girl, she appeared to be rubbing one arm against the other as she tried not to make eye-contact. The girl in question was the town’s guardian and she had been busy with her duties ever since Risky tried to use the Tinker-brain to take over the Genie Realm.
"I know, Uncle Mimic, but...I just don't want to let the people down! I've been fighting Risky Boots for a long time and I have to stay strong for them! Just letting me go isn't going to help me relax or stay safe...if anything it's going to make me more paranoid for what's to come next!" The guardian proclaimed as she tried to reason with her Uncle, the two had been partially arguing about her state of health and how that she nearly died at the end of her last adventure due to Risky's base self-destructing.
"No ifs and buts about it! I want you to relax; I'll even continue working on my latest creation for you! The Bicycle! Once it's done I'll be sure to let you test it out, but for now there are no threats and Scuttle Town would most likely not want to see their guardian Half Genie drop unconscious in the middle of the street" He joked before letting out a small laugh, the half-genie guardian joining in a little bit before placing her arms onto her hips and starting to breath in a heavy contented breath. "You're right uncle! If I'm gonna relax then I need to do it in style, once I'm done with that I'll be Ret-2-Go protecting the people of Scuttle Town once more!" She seemed pretty excited now that she had a higher goal in all of this...but of course as she ran off Mimic still seemed to be concerned. She was still just a teenager and yet she was facing dangers much larger than her...if she exhausted her magic by the time she was an adult...then what would she be able to do?

"One of you move this to a place that I can find it. No one scratch up the paint-job or else you're all gonna get it" Aureo seemed to glower behind her shades at some of the voluptuous women of the town and the block-headed men that seemed to all be staring at her with a sense of confusion, fear and a hint of admiration.
After the Diamond Cutter was quickly secured underneath a nice tarp next to some other large wagons, Aureo decided that she would hit up one of the local spas to try and relax a little. As the old saying went 'nothing like a good spa day to chase your cares away' or was it something else? Well Aureo merely shrugged as she made her way toward the luxurious spa house. However as she made her way toward the spa she didn't expect herself to run into another citizen, letting out a loud "Oof!" she was quickly brushed to the side by a purple haired girl with rather interesting clothing, she quickly apologised before running toward the outskirts of the town where a large lighthouse stood. Maybe that was someone who worked at that lighthouse? Again she wasn't one to pry into universal matters (Hilarious considering what the M.H.A did on a daily basis) and she made her way into the spa.
"Welcome! Rejuvenate yourself in one of our luxurious baths or have one of our delightful massages, we'll make sure to push out any bad thoughts that you might have as you enjoy yourself in bliss" The woman at the counter perked up upon seeing such a masculine looking female entering the room, Aureo was quick to throw down a bag of gems before making her way toward the largest bath in the spa house. Removing her clothes she let out a loud sigh as the warm, tingling sensation of water rushed its way up her skin. It felt like she was laying on her back in a tropical rainforest, the scent of lemon and hazel filling her nostrils as the humid steam slowly rose toward the ceiling in the room...
"This. Is. Amazing..." Aureo whispered giddily as she laid down further in the bath and let herself be taken by the scent and the steam, it was like her body was being energised the moment she stepped into it. So this was how that angel kid felt when he saw a spa? She could dig it...
Though on the edge of Scuttle Town's bay there was a small advancement of ships making their way toward the harbour...seems like a certain 'Queen' was deciding to attack earlier than usual.
On the edge of town, inside a rather cosy lighthouse, Shantae was busy resting up in her newly installed bathtub. She'd decided to take a note from the spa and just have her own personal tub installed and unlike that one trap Risky set where it suddenly sprang to life and caught her in its clutches, this one wouldn't be suddenly causing her grief. Nope. Just a simple tub with the same rejuvenating properties as the spa baths. This was heaven for her, after so long of having to go back and forth she could just relax and be herself for once...
"Sooooo relaxing" Shantae cooed as she lay her head back in the soapy suds that surrounded her. Though as she rested she felt as if someone was watching her. Not exactly the best feeling for someone like her to have when she's in a bathtub but she couldn't help but peak her eyes open a little and stare toward the small window that was in her bathroom...Boy was she in for a shock!
"EEEK! What the heck?!" Shantae was quick to spring up as she noticed the beady yellow eyes of a tinkerbat at her window. She quickly tried to hide herself in the suds but the little gremlin already had what it wanted, a location for its target. Though as it was about leap out from the window to try and report back to its fellow crew-mates, Shantae let out a loud yell before slamming her hand onto the window and slamming it open as she peaked out of the window with a towel being the only clothing that she had.
"Oh no...Why now?!" Shantae yelled as the chortling of a familiar pirate queen sounded in the distance, her new contraption already causing havoc toward the town.
"Ohohohoho~!" Risky laughed as her brand new machine, the Part Omni-Organic, Partially Titanic, Ocean-Optional TinkerTitan Version 2 caused a LOT of panic among the many citizens of Scuttle Town. Unlike the original version of this machine, she could actually use its size to its advantage as opposed to it being just a bigger target to hit.
"Run, Run all of you! With my mighty machine you won't be able to hide for long!" She yelled as the Tinkerbats jumping from the machine were also starting to try and attack citizens. Sky, Bolo and Rotty were only able to do so much to defend themselves as eventually Shantae ran toward the centre of town.
"Risky Boots! I should've known that you'd show up again after your last defeat!" She exclaimed as she pointed up toward the cockpit of the gargantuan machine before her, it was clear that everything about this machine was screaming that it was made solely to defeat her in some form. But the pirate girl was just quick to notice Shantae, letting out a sneer of a grin as the Tinkertitan immediately turned toward the half-genie as it was quick to unleash a large cannonball from one of its many weapon ports, prompting Shantae to yelp as she dived out of the way.
"Gah! Hey, at least give me a moment to breathe before you start attacking me!" Shantae yelled, the pirate queen seemed to merely laugh as she started to think about how to keep toying with her arch-nemesis. There was the massive modified pistol the TinkerTitan had, the massive saber, the absolutely absurd amount of firepower, all of it could be used to completely annihilate this half-genie where she stood!
"Not today you brat! I've waited long and hard for this moment where I can finally take Scuttle Town ripe for the picking!" Risky proclaimed as she quickly let out a laugh as she pointed at Shantae, the TinkerTitan quickly springing to life before lunging its huge scaly hand and gripping it around the now panicking half genie.
"AH! N-Ngggh...Risky!" Shantae glowered as she pushed and squirmed up against the grip of the Tinker Titan, "Your P.O.O.P. T.O.O.T never was this strong before!" But that little comment prompted Risky to yell, "Don't call it P.O.O.P. T.O.O.T!" Before the TinkerTitan started to squeeze and crush at Shantae's waist, causing her to yell and cry out in pain.
"Goodbye you thorn in my side! Say goodbye to your precious town at the hands of Risky Boots!" She started to laugh as Shantae lowered her head before feeling her breath start to escape her...but in the brief moment that she could see Risky and the TinkerTitan a sudden figure seemed to launch themselves at the head of the titan itself, in this case, Risky's ship! "What the-?!" Risky yelled as Shantae finally lost consciousness...something had caused the Titan to lose its grip before a loud roar was heard as Shantae was soon dropped toward the ground.
"Shantae!" Uncle Mimic quickly rushed over before hugging Shantae tightly, he was almost ready to cry as him, Sky, Bolo and Rotty were all surrounding the bed that she had been transferred to after the battle. Someone had managed to catch her before she fell to her death as well as defeat Risky's TinkerTitan...that someone was going to revealed to her very soon, but for now she was just wanting to find out if there were any serious damages to the town.
"W-What happened? Why am I back in my house? Is Scuttle Town OK?!" Shantae bolted upright before groaning as she felt the pain on her chest get heavier before she coughed loudly, Rotty quickly sauntering over before pushing her back onto the small mound of pillows used to prop her up. "Listen Snack cakes, the town is fine. Luckily Risky wasn't able to get too far in but dang did you take a lot of hurting!" She then looked toward Bolo and Sky, who seemed to be concealing someone behind them as they soon parted to reveal someone that was a little taller than Shantae herself, short blonde hair done in a small ponytail with two horns protruding from head skull.
"I'm glad to see that you're awake...I'm sorry that I had to intervene in your battle but I couldn't stand to see someone like you die so quick to something like that" Aureo exclaimed as she started to slowly rub her hand across Shantae's purple locks of hair.
"Who are you? Why did you...?" Shantae stuttered as she then remembered that she was utterly powerless toward Risky's machine, she couldn't actually beat such a contraption which should've been easy for her to beat but...she was powerless against it! That was a bit of a fatal blow on her self-esteem as she started to look away before sighing.
"I couldn't even damage Risky...I couldn't even fight it! How the heck am I supposed to be the guardian of the town if I can't even save it from something like that!?" Shantae exclaimed before seething in pain as the sudden pain in her waist came back. Aureo merely removed her shades before looking toward Uncle Mimic, "Mr Mimic if you would be so kind as to allow me to try and begin my procedure on her? I believe that for the sake of all worlds and for the sake of this world she will do much better if she went under my training" Her tone was more serious than it had been before but it was clear that she had brought up this idea to Mimic after saving Shantae from the TinkerTitan.
"I...I don't know if such a procedure is wise. Genie magic is only so volatile and the training you're suggesting means that she would end up becoming almost too large for many of the abilities that she currently has!" Mimic seemed to clench his fist before looking away, Shantae now was confused as to what this 'procedure' was and how it was meant to benefit her. In some ways she was excited to hear about some kind of test that could make her a better guardian...
But she would have NO IDEA of what would await her.
"I think after this her transformative magic can only be used as a genuine last resort. Now then...I shall be back here in a day or two after you've rested up Shantae. I want you to be prepared for this, as you will most likely experience a lot of new feelings with this sudden shift in bodily functions" Aureo proclaimed, saying goodbye to Mimic and the others before exiting the home and leaving Shantae even more confused than she was before.
That evening as Shantae rested she started to look toward the starry sky outside her window before yawning lightly...Just what did this mysterious woman want with her and what kind of training was she going to get? Well she couldn't ponder on it too much, she needed to sleep peacefully or else she wouldn't be ready for tomorrow...
Well all these would be answered tomorrow, for tomorrow was the day Shantae became more than just a Half-Genie Hero.
